Antropologia de la Musica Purepecha — La palabra purépecha es el nombre por el cual, un grupo étnico el estado de Michoacán se designa así mismo. Aunque en años anteriores se les ha denominado como tarascos, la palabra tarasco corresponde al parecer a un titulo impuesto por los españoles durante la época colonial. Este grupo habita en el estado de Michoacán en cuatro regiones conocidas como la zona lacustre, la sierra, la cañada de los once pueblos y la cienega de zacapu.

Uacusecha Archealogical Project in Malpais Zacapu — Since 2008, new archaeological investigations are leaded in the urban settlements of the Malpaís of Zacapu, in the center-north of the state of Michoacán, western Mexico. The main objective of this study is to understand, trough the urban organization and the use of urban space, a part of the social and political processes of the early Tarascan state.
